The Prophet of Allah ﷺ said, "None of you may take back a gift he has given, except a father reclaiming what he has given to his child."
حدثنا جميل بن الحسن حدثنا عبد الأعلى حدثنا سعيد عن عامر الأحول
أن نبي الله ﷺ قال لا يرجع أحدكم في هبته إلا الوالد من ولده
[Sahih]. Nasai transmitted it in 6/264, 265, chapter on gifts, a father's reclaiming what he gave to his child, etc., hadith no. 3719, from the hadith of Saeed bin Abu Aruba by this route. He was corroborated by Abdul-Warith and Ibrahim bin Tahman, from Amir Ahwal, by this same route (Sunan al-Kubra by Bayhaqi, 6/179).
