The Messenger of Allah ﷺ ruled that a case may be decided on the basis of an oath together with a single witness.

Reference, its chain is sahih. Tirmidhi narrated it in the Book of Judgments, chapter on what has been said about the oath along with a witness, hadith 1343, from Yaqub bin Ibrahim, through him, and he said, hasan gharib. Ibn Jarud also graded it sahih, hadith 1007. This hadith is referenced in Nayl Maqsud, hadith 3610. Abu Dawud narrated it from the hadith of Darawardi, through him.
