I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "A woman should not spend anything from her husband's house without his permission."The companions asked, "Messenger of Allah, not even food?"He replied, "That is among the most valuable of our possessions."
[Its isnad is hasan]. Tirmidhi transmitted it in his chapter on Zakat, in the section on what has been said about a woman spending from her husband's house, hadith 670, from the hadith of Ismail through this chain, and he said, this is a hasan hadith. Its origin is found in Sunan Abu Dawud, hadith 3565, and Ibn Jarud graded it sahih, hadith 1023.
