A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "My father has taken my wealth."The Prophet ﷺ replied, "You and your wealth belong to your father."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ also said, "Your children are among the best of your earnings, so eat from their wealth."
حدثنا محمد بن يحيى ويحيى بن حكيم قالا حدثنا يزيد بن هارون أنبأنا حجاج
جاء رجل إلى النبي ﷺ فقال إن أبي اجتاح مالي فقال أنت ومالك لأبيك وقال رسول الله ﷺ إن أولادكم من أطيب كسبكم فكلوا من أموالهم
[Sahih] Ahmad reported it, 2/204, from the hadith of Hajjaj bin Artah, and Habib al-Muallim followed him in agreement, as reported by Abu Dawud, no. 3530, and others, and it has multiple chains, and Ibn Jarud graded it sahih, no. 995.
