A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "The tribe of so-and-so have embraced Islam, but they owed a debt to some Jews, and now they have gone hungry. I fear they may turn back from their faith."The Prophet ﷺ asked, "Who here has something to offer?"A Jewish man said, "I have such-and-such," naming an amount. I believe he said three hundred Dinars at such-and-such a price, taken from the orchard of the tribe of so-and-so.The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "At such-and-such a price, to be paid by such-and-such a date, but not from the orchard of the tribe of so-and-so."
حدثنا يعقوب بن حميد بن كاسب حدثنا الوليد بن مسلم عن محمد بن حمزة بن يوسف بن عبد الله بن سلام عن أبيه
جاء رجل إلى النبي ﷺ فقال إن بني فلان أسلموا لقوم من اليهود وإنهم قد جاعوا فأخاف أن يرتدوا فقال النبي ﷺ من عنده فقال رجل من اليهود عندي كذا وكذا لشيء قد سماه أراه قال ثلاث مائة دينار بسعر كذا وكذا من حائط بني فلان فقال رسول الله ﷺ بسعر كذا وكذا إلى أجل كذا وكذا وليس من حائط بني فلان

Its chain of transmission is daif. Tabarani reported it (5/222, no. 5147), as did Abu Yaala (no. 7496) and others, through routes from Walid, who said, "Muhammad bin Hamza narrated to us," in this manner, without making clear the continuous chain of direct hearing. Ibn Hibban graded it sahih (Mawarid, no. 2105), as did Hakim (3/605), but Dhahabi challenged him on this, and Busiri graded it daif. There is also a daif route for it in Daraqutni's Al-Mutalif wal-Mukhtalif (3/1388).
