The Messenger of Allah ﷺ cursed the one who consumes usury, the one who pays it, the two who witness it, and the one who records it.
حدثنا محمد بن بشار حدثنا محمد بن جعفر حدثنا شعبة حدثنا سماك بن حرب قال سمعت عبد الرحمن بن عبد الله يحدث
أن رسول الله ﷺ لعن آكل الربا ومؤكله وشاهديه وكاتبه
[Its isnad is hasan]. Abu Dawud narrated it in the Book of Business Transactions, Chapter on the One Who Consumes riba and the One Who Facilitates It, hadith 3333, from the hadith of Simak by this route. Tirmidhi graded it sahih, hadith 1206, as did Ibn Hibban, hadith 1112. The hadith has very many corroborating narrations.
