The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whenever a man sells the same item to two men, it belongs to the first of them."
حدثنا حميد بن مسعدة حدثنا خالد بن الحارث حدثنا سعيد عن قتادة عن الحسن
عن النبي ﷺ قال أيما رجل باع بيعا من رجلين فهو للأول منهما
[Hasan] Abu Dawud reported it in the Book of Marriage, no. 2088, from the hadith of Qatada with this wording. Tirmidhi graded it hasan, no. 1110, and Ibn Jarud graded it sahih. It has supporting narrations, see Sunan Nasai, no. 4686, and elsewhere.
