The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me, "Abu Dharr, for you to go out in the morning and learn a single verse from the Book of Allah is better for you than praying a hundred rakahs, and for you to go out in the morning and learn a chapter of knowledge, whether it is acted upon or not, is better for you than praying a thousand rakahs."

Its chain is daif. Ibn Abdul-Barr transmitted it in Jami Bayan Ilm wa Fadlihi, 1/25, from the hadith of Abdullah bin Ziyad, through this chain. Munziri graded it hasan, while Iraqi, Busiri and others graded it daif.Ali bin Zayd, his status was mentioned earlier, hadith no. 116, and his student and Abbadani are both obscure narrators.
