I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Whoever hoards food away from the Muslims, Allah will strike him with leprosy and bankruptcy."
حدثنا يحيى بن حكيم حدثنا أبو بكر الحنفي حدثنا الهيثم بن رافع حدثني أبو يحيى المكي عن فروخ مولى عثمان بن عفان
سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول من احتكر على المسلمين طعاما ضربه الله بالجذام والإفلاس
[Its chain of transmission is hasan]. Ahmad narrated it, 1/21, from the hadith of Haytham at length, and Busiri graded it sahih. Munziri said in Targhib wal-Tarhib, 2/583, "This is a good, connected chain of transmission, and its narrators are trustworthy." And Hafiz said in Fath al-Bari, 4/348, "Its chain of transmission is hasan."
