We went out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and found people engaged in their morning trade. He called out to them, "Merchants!" When they raised their eyes and stretched their necks toward him, he said, "Merchants will be raised on the Day of Resurrection as wicked sinners, except for those who fear Allah, act righteously, and speak truthfully."
Its isnad is hasan. Tirmidhi transmitted it in the Book of Trade, chapter on what has been said concerning merchants and the Prophet's ﷺ naming of them, hadith no. 1210, from the hadith of Ibn Khuthaym, with this wording, and he said, "This is a hasan sahih hadith." Ibn Hibban also graded it sahih (Mawarid), hadith no. 1095, as did Hakim (6/2) and Dhahabi.
