A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "Messenger of Allah, I have vowed to sacrifice a camel at Buwanah."The Prophet ﷺ asked, "Is there anything in your intention connected to the practices of the days of ignorance?"The man replied, "No."He said, "Then fulfill your vow."

أن رجلا جاء إلى النبي ﷺ فقال يا رسول الله إني نذرت أن أنحر ببوانة فقال في نفسك شيء من أمر الجاهلية قال لا قال أوف بنذرك
[Hasan]Tabarani transmitted it in Al-Kabir (22/12, 23, no. 12356) from the hadith of Abdullah bin Raja, through this route.Masudi's memory became confused later in life, as mentioned previously at no. 906, and Habib narrated with an ambiguous form (an), as mentioned previously at no. 383, if this is correct.It has corroborating narrations in Abu Dawud, no. 3313, and elsewhere.
