Abdullah bin Masud reported,

We were in the mosque on the night before Friday when a man said, "If a man finds another man with his wife and kills him, you would put him to death. If he speaks of it, you would flog him. By Allah, I will surely mention this to the Prophet ﷺ."So he mentioned it to the Prophet ﷺ, and Allah revealed the verses of liaan. Later, that very man came accusing his own wife. The Prophet ﷺ had them perform the liaan procedure between them, and he said, "It may be that she will give birth to a dark-skinned child."She did indeed give birth to a dark-skinned child with curly hair.

عن عبد الله قال

كنا في المسجد ليلة الجمعة فقال رجل لو أن رجلا وجد مع امرأته رجلا فقتله قتلتموه وإن تكلم جلدتموه والله لأذكرن ذلك للنبي ﷺ فذكره للنبي ﷺ فأنزل الله عز وجل آيات اللعان ثم جاء الرجل بعد ذلك يقذف امرأته فلاعن النبي ﷺ بينهما وقال عسى أن تجيء به أسود فجاءت به أسود جعدا
