Habiba bint Sahl was married to Thabit bin Qays bin Shammas, who was an unattractive man. She said, "Messenger of Allah, by Allah, were it not for the fear of Allah, whenever he comes in to me I would spit in his face."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked, "Will you return his garden to him?"She replied, "Yes."So she returned his garden to him, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ separated them.

كانت حبيبة بنت سهل تحت ثابت بن قيس بن شماس وكان رجلا دميما فقالت يا رسول الله والله لولا مخافة الله إذا دخل علي لبصقت في وجهه فقال رسول الله ﷺ أتردين عليه حديقته قالت نعم فردت عليه حديقته قال ففرق بينهما رسول الله ﷺ
Sourcing, [its chain of transmission is daif] Ahmad reported it, 3/4, from the hadith of Hajjaj as narrated above. Busiri said, this chain is daif because of the tadlis of Hajjaj, who is Ibn Artah. See also numbers 1129 and 496.
