[Sahih] Ibn Adi narrated it from the hadith of Muhammad bin Khalid through this route, and said, "Wassafi is very daif." I say, he was corroborated by the trustworthy narrator Muarrif bin Wasil in Abu Dawud, no. 2178, and elsewhere, and through this the hadith is sahih. Hakim and Dhahabi graded it sahih, and I have not seen any valid argument from those who deemed it daif.
