I embraced Islam while I had eight wives. I came to the Prophet ﷺ and mentioned this to him, so he said, "Choose four of them."

أسلمت وعندي ثمان نسوة فأتيت النبي ﷺ فقلت ذلك له فقال اختر منهن أربعا
[Its isnad is daif] Abu Dawud narrated it in "Divorce," the chapter on one who embraces Islam while having more than four wives or two sisters, no. 2241, through the hadith of Hushaym with this wording. See no. 854 for its defect.Humaydah bin Shamardal is an ancient narrator who is obscure and unknown. In the text of Ibn Majah it appears as "bint" instead of "bin," which is a mistake.
