A young virgin girl came to the Prophet ﷺ and told him that her father had married her off against her will, so the Prophet ﷺ gave her the choice.Muhammad bin Sabbah narrated to us, Muamar bin Sulayman ar-Raqqi reported to us, from Zayd bin Hibban, from Ayub Sakhtiyani, from Ikrima, from Ibn Abbas, from the Prophet ﷺ, something similar.

Grading. Sahih. Narrated by Abu Dawud in the book of Nikah, in the chapter on the virgin whom her father marries off without consulting her, hadith no. 2096, from the hadith of Husayn bin Muhammad, through this chain. Jareer bin Hazim is trustworthy, but he was known to obscure his sources in transmission. Imam Bayhaqi and others accused him of this, and he narrated using the ambiguous formula "from." Zayd bin Habban corroborated him, but the towering scholar Hammad bin Zayd contradicted them both, narrating it as a mursal report, which is the correct version.
