The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent me to Bahrain, or to Hajar. I would come upon an orchard shared between brothers, one of whom had become Muslim. I would take the tithe from the Muslim and the kharaj from the polytheist.
Its chain is daif. Ahmad narrated it in 5/52, and Tabarani in Al-Kabir (18/97, no. 174) from the hadith of Attab through this same chain. Busiri said, its chain is daif because Mughira Azdi and Muhammad bin Zayd are both unknown, and although Hayan Aaraj was deemed reliable by Ibn Main and Ibn Hibban listed him among the trustworthy narrators, his narration from Ala is disconnected, as Mizzi stated in Tahdheeb.
