The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no zakat on fewer than five camels, nor anything due on four. When the number reaches five, one sheep is due, and this remains the case until the count reaches nine. When it reaches ten, two sheep are due, until the count reaches fourteen. When it reaches fifteen, three sheep are due, until the count reaches nineteen. When it reaches twenty, four sheep are due, until the count reaches twenty-four. When it reaches twenty-five, a one-year-old female camel is due, up to thirty-five. If a one-year-old female camel is not available, a two-year-old male camel suffices. If the count increases by one camel, a two-year-old female camel is due, until the count reaches forty-five. If it increases by one more, a three-year-old female camel is due, until the count reaches sixty. If it increases by one more, a four-year-old female camel is due, until the count reaches seventy-five. If it increases by one more, two two-year-old female camels are due, until the count reaches ninety. If it increases by one more, two three-year-old female camels are due, until the count reaches one hundred and twenty. Beyond that, for every fifty camels a three-year-old female camel is due, and for every forty a two-year-old female camel is due."

[Hasan]. Bukhari, Muslim, and others narrated it through the route of Amr bin Yahya, from his father, from Abu Saeed, in a very abridged form, covering only the first section, and the remainder has many corroborating narrations.
