Safiya bint Huyayy came to visit the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was in spiritual retreat at the mosque during the last ten days of Ramadan. She spoke with him for a while in the evening, then rose to leave, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ got up to walk her back. When she reached the gate of the mosque near the dwelling of Umm Salama, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ, two men of the Ansar passed by. They greeted the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and went on their way.The Messenger of Allah ﷺ called out to them, "Wait. This is Safiya bint Huyayy."They exclaimed, "Glory be to Allah, Messenger of Allah!" The matter weighed heavily upon them. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then said, "Satan flows through the son of Adam like the flow of blood, and I feared that he might cast something into your hearts."
