While I was performing tawaf around the Kabah, I asked, "Did the Prophet ﷺ forbid fasting on Friday?"He replied, "Yes, by the Lord of this House."

وأنا أطوف بالبيت أنهى النبي ﷺ عن صيام يوم الجمعة قال نعم ورب هذا البيت
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Fasting, previous chapter, no. 1984, from the hadith of Abdul-Hameed through this route, and Muslim narrated it in the Book of Fasting, previous chapter, no. 1143, from the hadith of Sufyan bin Uyayna through this route.
