No, by the Lord of the Kaabah, I am not the one who said, "Whoever wakes up in a state of major ritual impurity should not fast that day." Muhammad ﷺ is the one who said it.
حدثنا أبو بكر بن أبي شيبة ومحمد بن الصباح قالا حدثنا سفيان بن عيينة عن عمرو بن دينار عن يحيى بن جعدة عن عبد الله بن عمرو القاري قال سمعت
لا ورب الكعبة ما أنا قلت من أصبح وهو جنب فليفطر محمد ﷺ قاله
[Sahih] Reported by Ahmad (2/248) from Sufyan, through him, and likewise reported by Nasai in al-Kubra. Ibn Jurayj also corroborated him, as did Ahmad (2/286). Abdullah bin Amr bin Abd Qari, I did not find anyone who authenticated him, though he was marked in Taqrib* as being among the men of Muslim. Busiri said, "Its isnad is sahih." In Sahihayn it is reported that Abu Hurairah heard it from Fadl, and Muslim added, "But I did not hear it from the Prophet." I say, this hadith is abrogated. See the hadith that follows.
