I heard the Prophet ﷺ say, "The cupper and the one cupped have both broken their fast."

[Its isnad is sahih] Abu Dawud narrated it in Sunan Abu Dawud, Book of Fasting, Chapter on One Who Fasts Cupping Himself, hadith no. 2367, from the hadith of Shayban, with this wording. Ibn Madini, Bukhari, Ibn Khuzayma, Ibn Hibban, Hakim, and Dhahabi graded it sahih.
