Abu Hurairah reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When the middle of Shaban arrives, do not fast until Ramadan begins."

Darussalam

Its isnad is sahih. Abu Dawud narrated it in the Book of Fasting, chapter on the disapproval of that, hadith no. 2337, from the hadith of Darawardi, that is, Abdul-Aziz bin Muhammad, with this chain. Tirmidhi said in hadith no. 738, hasan sahih.
