The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When the first night of Ramadan arrives, the devils and the rebellious jinn are chained up, the gates of the Fire are shut so that not a single gate remains open, and the gates of Paradise are flung open so that not a single gate remains closed. A caller cries out, 'Seeker of good, come forward. Seeker of evil, hold back.' And Allah has those whom He frees from the Fire, and that happens every night."
حدثنا أبو كريب محمد بن العلاء حدثنا أبو بكر بن عياش عن الأعمش عن أبي صالح
عن رسول الله ﷺ قال إذا كانت أول ليلة من رمضان صفدت الشياطين ومردة الجن وغلقت أبواب النار فلم يفتح منها باب وفتحت أبواب الجنة فلم يغلق منها باب ونادى مناد يا باغي الخير أقبل ويا باغي الشر أقصر ولله عتقاء من النار وذلك في كل ليلة
[Hasan] Tirmidhi narrated it in the Book of Fasting, chapter on the virtue of the month of Ramadan, hadith 682, from Abu Kurayb, with this wording, and he said, "Gharib." Ibn Khuzayma graded it sahih in 3/188, hadith 1883.Amash used the ambiguous form "an" in his transmission, as noted previously at hadith 178, and his student is daif, as noted previously at hadith 855.
