Ayesha reported,

"Mother, tell me about the illness of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."She said, "He fell ill and began to spit, and we used to liken his spitting to that of someone eating raisins. He used to rotate among his wives, but when his illness grew severe, he asked their permission to stay in Ayesha's house and have them visit him there."She continued, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came in supported between two men, his feet dragging along the ground. One of them was Abbas."I related this to Ibn Abbas, who said, "Do you know who the man was that Ayesha did not name? He was Ali bin Abu Talib."
