We were forbidden from following funeral processions, though it was not made strictly binding upon us.
حدثنا أبو بكر بن أبي شيبة حدثنا أبو أسامة عن هشام عن حفصة
نهينا عن اتباع الجنائز ولم يعزم علينا
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Menstruation, chapter "Using perfume for a woman during her purification bath from menstruation," hadith no. 313, and Muslim narrated it in the Book of Funerals, chapter "The prohibition of women following funeral processions," hadith no. 938, both from the hadith of Hafsa. Muslim narrated it from Abu Bakr bin Abu Shayba and others.
