The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The lahd is for us, and the shaqq is for others."
حدثنا محمد بن عبد الله بن نمير حدثنا حكام بن سلم الرازي قال سمعت علي بن عبد الأعلى يذكر عن أبيه عن سعيد بن جبير
قال رسول الله ﷺ اللحد لنا والشق لغيرنا
Its chain of transmission is daif. Abu Dawud narrated it in the Book of Funerals, chapter on the lahd (niche grave), hadith no. 3208, from the hadith of Hakkam, with this wording, and Tirmidhi graded it hasan, hadith no. 1045.Abdul-Ala Thalabi is daif. Haythami said in Majma, hadith no. 1478, that most scholars considered him daif, and it has corroborating narrations, all of which are daif. And Allah knows best.
