The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever prays over a funeral receives one qirat, and whoever waits until the burial is completed receives two qirats."They asked, "What are the two qirats?"He replied, "Like two great mountains."
حدثنا أبو بكر بن أبي شيبة حدثنا عبد الأعلى عن معمر عن الزهري عن سعيد بن المسيب
عن النبي ﷺ قال من صلى على جنازة فله قيراط ومن انتظر حتى يفرغ منها فله قيراطان قالوا وما القيراطان قال مثل الجبلين
Bukhari narrated it, hadith no. (47), (1325), Indian edition 1/177, and Tuhfat Ashraf 10/48, and Muslim, Funerals, chapter on the merit of praying over the deceased and following the funeral, hadith no. 945, from the hadith of Mamar, through him.
