The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When one of you takes charge of burying his brother, let him shroud him well."
حدثنا محمد بن بشار حدثنا عمر بن يونس حدثنا عكرمة بن عمار عن هشام بن حسان عن محمد بن سيرين
قال رسول الله ﷺ إذا ولي أحدكم أخاه فليحسن كفنه
[Sahih] Reported by Tirmidhi, in the Book of Funerals, chapter on the believer's duty to shroud his brother well, no. 995, from Ibn Bashar with the same wording. He said, hasan gharib, and it has a sahih corroborating narration in Muslim, no. 943, and elsewhere.
