The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The best of your garments are the white ones. Shroud your dead in them and wear them yourselves."
حدثنا محمد بن الصباح أنبأنا عبد الله بن رجاء المكي عن عبد الله بن عثمان بن خثيم عن سعيد بن جبير
قال رسول الله ﷺ خير ثيابكم البياض فكفنوا فيها موتاكم والبسوها
[Its isnad is hasan]. Reported by Abu Dawud in the Book of Clothing, chapter on wearing white, 4061, from the hadith of Ibn Khuthaym, through this route. Tirmidhi declared it sahih, 994, as did Ibn Hibban, 1439, 1441.
