The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever washes a deceased person, shrouds him, applies burial scent to him, carries him, prays over him, and does not disclose what he has seen of him, emerges from his sins like the day his mother gave birth to him."

[Its chain is fabricated] Ibn Adi reported it in 5/1777 from the hadith of Muharibi through this route, and Busiri graded it daif. See no. 1460 for its defect.Amr is Wasiti, and Abbad bin Kathir Basri is discarded. Ahmad said, "He narrated fabricated hadiths" (Taqrib).
