I was sitting with the Prophet ﷺ when Ammar bin Yasir asked permission to enter. The Prophet ﷺ said, "Let him in. Welcome to the good and purified one."
حدثنا عثمان بن أبي شيبة وعلي بن محمد قالا حدثنا وكيع حدثنا سفيان عن أبي إسحق عن هانئ بن هانئ
كنت جالسا عند النبي ﷺ فاستأذن عمار بن ياسر فقال النبي ﷺ ائذنوا له مرحبا بالطيب المطيب
[Hasan] Reported by Tirmidhi, Chapters on Virtues, chapter on the virtues of Ammar bin Yasir, etc., no. 3798, from the hadith of Sufyan Thawri, with this wording, and he said, hasan sahih. Ibn Hibban, Hakim, and Dhahabi graded it sahih. Shubah also reported it from Abu Ishaq with this wording, as found in Ahmad and others.
