The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Recite it over your dying," meaning Surah Ya-Sin.
حدثنا أبو بكر بن أبي شيبة حدثنا علي بن الحسن بن شقيق عن ابن المبارك عن سليمان التيمي عن أبي عثمان وليس بالنهدي عن أبيه
قال رسول الله ﷺ اقرءوها عند موتاكم يعني يس
[Its chain of transmission is daif. Abu Dawud narrated it in the Book of Funerals, chapter on reciting by the deceased, no. 3121, from the hadith of Ibn Mubarak, with this wording. Ibn Hibban graded it sahih, while Daraqutni graded it daif. This Abu Uthman is unknown, as Ibn Madini and others said, and it has a daif supporting narration that is a stopped report.
