The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A single prayer in this mosque of mine is better than a thousand prayers in any other, except for the Sacred Mosque."Hisham bin Ammar narrated to us, Sufyan bin Uyayna narrated to us, from Zuhri, from Saeed bin Musayab, from Abu Hurairah, from the Prophet ﷺ, something similar.
حدثنا أبو مصعب المدني أحمد بن أبي بكر حدثنا مالك بن أنس عن زيد بن رباح وعبيد الله بن أبي عبد الله عن أبي عبد الله الأغر
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال صلاة في مسجدي هذا أفضل من ألف صلاة فيما سواه إلا المسجد الحرام حدثنا هشام بن عمار حدثنا سفيان بن عيينة عن الزهري عن سعيد بن المسيب عن أبي هريرة عن النبي ﷺ نحوه
Reported by Bukhari, chapter on the merit of prayer in the masjid of Makkah and Madinah, 1190, and Muslim, Book of Hajj, chapter on the merit of prayer in the two masjids of Makkah and Madinah, 1394, from the hadith of Malik, through this chain. Muslim also reported it from the hadith of Sufyan, through this chain.
