During the time of Uthman bin Affan, when people were plentiful, I asked about the forenoon prayer, but I could not find anyone who could tell me that the Prophet ﷺ had prayed it, except for Umm Hani. She informed me that he prayed it as eight rakahs.

سألت في زمن عثمان بن عفان والناس متوافرون أو متوافون عن صلاة الضحى فلم أجد أحدا يخبرني أنه صلاها يعني النبي ﷺ غير أم هانئ فأخبرتني أنه صلاها ثمان ركعات
