Abu Saeed Khudri reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ would go out on the day of Eid and lead the people in two units of prayer, then give the salam. He would stand on his feet facing the people while they remained seated and say, "Give in charity, give in charity." Most of those who gave were the women, offering an earring, a ring, or some other item. If there was a need, such as wanting to dispatch an expedition, he would mention it to them. Otherwise, he would depart.
