I saw Abu Kahil, who had companionship with the Prophet. My brother related to me from him, saying, "I saw the Prophet ﷺ delivering a sermon upon a she-camel, while an Abyssinian held its halter."
حدثنا محمد بن عبد الله بن نمير حدثنا وكيع
رأيت أبا كاهل وكانت له صحبة فحدثني أخي عنه قال رأيت النبي ﷺ يخطب على ناقة وحبشي آخذ بخطامها
[Its chain is hasan] Nasai reported it, 3/185, Prayer of the Two Eids, Chapter on Delivering the Sermon on the Camel, no. 1574, from the hadith of Ismail, through him. Ahmad also reported it, 4/306, from Waki, through him.And his brother Saeed, as Ibn Athir explicitly stated in his account in Usd Ghabah, in the biography of Abu Kahil, and likewise in Tahzib Kamal and other works.
