The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said seven takbeers in the first rakah and five in the second during the Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha prayers, apart from the two takbeers of bowing.
حدثنا حرملة بن يحيى حدثنا عبد الله بن وهب أخبرني ابن لهيعة عن خالد بن يزيد وعقيل عن ابن شهاب عن عروة
أن رسول الله ﷺ كبر في الفطر والأضحى سبعا وخمسا سوى تكبيرتي الركوع
[Hasan] Abu Dawud reported it in the Book of Prayer, Chapter on the takbir in the two Eids, no. 1149, from the hadith of Ibn Lahia, with this chain. He also reported it, no. 1150, from Ibn Wahb, from Ibn Lahia, with this chain. Ibn Lahia stated explicitly that he heard it directly in another version, and the hadith has corroborating narrations.
