The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The sun rises between the two horns of Satan," or he said, "the two horns of Satan rise along with it. When it has risen, he departs from it. When it reaches the middle of the sky, he joins it again. When it begins to decline," or he said, "when it passes the meridian, he departs from it. When it draws near to setting, he joins it again, and when it sets, he departs from it. So do not pray during these three times."
حدثنا إسحق بن منصور أنبأنا عبد الرزاق أنبأنا معمر عن زيد بن أسلم عن عطاء بن يسار
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال إن الشمس تطلع بين قرني الشيطان أو قال يطلع معها قرنا الشيطان فإذا ارتفعت فارقها فإذا كانت في وسط السماء قارنها فإذا دلكت أو قال زالت فارقها فإذا دنت للغروب قارنها فإذا غربت فارقها فلا تصلوا هذه الساعات الثلاث
[Sahih] Nasai narrated it, 1/275, Chapters on Times of Prayer, section on the hours during which prayer is prohibited, hadith 560, from the hadith of Malik, from Zayd, with the same wording, except that he said, "from Abdullah Sanabihi," and this is the more correct view. Daraqutni narrated it in Gharaib Malik through the route of Ismail bin Asad Abu Harith, and Ibn Manda narrated it through the route of Ismail Sayigh, both of them from Malik, and also Zuhayr bin Muhammad, from Zayd, from Ataa, from Abdullah Sanabihi, who said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ," and so on. Likewise, Suwayd bin Saeed narrated it from Hafs bin Maysara, from Zayd, with the same wording.Sanabihi is a companion according to the more correct view, and his hadith has corroborating evidence in meaning.
