The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever sleeps through the witr prayer or forgets it should pray it when he wakes up or remembers it."
حدثنا أبو مصعب أحمد بن أبي بكر المديني وسويد بن سعيد قال حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن زيد بن أسلم عن أبيه عن عطاء بن يسار
قال رسول الله ﷺ من نام عن الوتر أو نسيه فليصل إذا أصبح أو ذكره
[Sahih] Abu Dawud reported it in the chapter on Witr, in the section on supplication after Witr, hadith no. 1431, with a sahih chain of transmission from Zayd bin Aslam. Hakim, Dhahabi, Iraqi, and others graded it sahih.
