The Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed the witr prayer at every part of the night, at its beginning, its middle, and finally his witr settled at the time before dawn.
حدثنا علي بن محمد قال حدثنا وكيع ح و حدثنا محمد بن بشار حدثنا محمد بن جعفر قال حدثنا شعبة عن أبي إسحق عن عاصم بن ضمرة
من كل الليل قد أوتر رسول الله ﷺ من أوله وأوسطه وانتهى وتره إلى السحر
Its isnad is hasan. Ahmad narrated it: 1/137 from Muhammad bin Jafar, and p. (86) from Waki, through him. Busiri said, "This isnad is sahih, its narrators are trustworthy."
