The Prophet ﷺ came out to us and said, "Allah has provided you with a prayer that is better for you than red camels. It is the witr prayer, which Allah has appointed for you between the time of the evening prayer and the break of dawn."
حدثنا محمد بن رمح المصري أنبأنا الليث بن سعد عن يزيد بن أبي حبيب عن عبد الله بن راشد الزوفي عن عبد الله بن أبي مرة الزوفي
خرج علينا النبي ﷺ فقال إن الله قد أمدكم بصلاة لهي خير لكم من حمر النعم الوتر جعله الله لكم فيما بين صلاة العشاء إلى أن يطلع الفجر
[Its chain is daif] Related by Abu Dawud, Chapters on Witr, chapter on the recommendation of Witr, no. 1418, from the hadith of Layth, through him. Tirmidhi called it gharib, while Hakim and Dhahabi graded it sahih. Ibn Hibban said, "Its chain is disconnected and its text is baseless." The hadith of Ahmad (7/6) suffices in its place.
