Whenever the Prophet ﷺ performed ablution, he would pray two rakahs and then go out to the prayer.
حدثنا أبو بكر بن أبي شيبة حدثنا أبو الأحوص عن أبي إسحق عن الأسود
كان النبي ﷺ إذا توضأ صلى ركعتين ثم خرج إلى الصلاة
