We used to pray with the Prophet ﷺ in the intense heat, and when one of us could not press his forehead to the ground, he would spread out his garment and prostrate upon it.
حدثنا إسحق بن إبراهيم بن حبيب حدثنا بشر بن المفضل عن غالب القطان عن بكر بن عبد الله
كنا نصلي مع النبي ﷺ في شدة الحر فإذا لم يقدر أحدنا أن يمكن جبهته بسط ثوبه فسجد عليه
Reported by Bukhari, in the Book of Prayer, chapter on prostrating on one's garment during intense heat, hadith no. 385, and hadith no. 620, from the hadith of Bishr, with this wording, and no. 1208, and Muslim, in the Book of Mosques, chapter on the desirability of performing Dhuhr early.
