Abdullah bin Abbas reported,
When Umar embraced Islam, Jibreel descended and said, "Muhammad, the inhabitants of the heavens have rejoiced at Umar's acceptance of Islam."

Darussalam
[Its chain is daif] Ibn Adi reported it in 4/1525 from the hadith of Ibn Kharrash through this chain, and Hakim graded it sahih in 3/84. Ibn Kharrash is daif, and Ali bin Ammar accused him of outright lying (Taqrib), and the majority declared him daif.
