Wabisa bin Mabad reported,

A man prayed alone behind the row, so the Prophet ﷺ ordered him to repeat the prayer.

حدثنا أبو بكر بن أبي شيبة حدثنا عبد الله بن إدريس عن حصين عن هلال بن يساف قال أخذ بيدي زياد بن أبي الجعد فأوقفني على شيخ بالرقة يقال له

وابصة بن معبد فقال

صلى رجل خلف الصف وحده فأمره النبي ﷺ أن يعيد

Darussalam

[Sahih] Humaydi and Ahmad (4/228) and others narrated it through various routes from Husayn bin Abdul-Rahman, as related above. Tirmidhi (no. 230) said it is hasan. There is another route for it recorded by Abu Dawud (no. 682) and others, and Ibn Hibban, Ahmad, Ishaq, and others graded it sahih.
