Abdullah bin Umar reported,

Something similar to the statement of Mujahid, that when they are in close engagement they pray standing. Ibn Umar added, narrating from the Prophet ﷺ, "And if they are more numerous than that, then let them pray standing and while mounted."

نحوا من قول مجاهد إذا اختلطوا قياما وزاد ابن عمر عن النبي ﷺ وإن كانوا أكثر من ذلك فليصلوا قياما وركبانا
