While we were praying with the Prophet ﷺ, a caravan carrying food arrived. The people turned toward it until no one remained with the Prophet ﷺ except twelve men. Then this verse was revealed, "And when they see some merchandise or amusement, they rush off to it and leave you standing" [Jumuah 62:11].
حدثنا معاوية بن عمرو قال حدثنا زائدة عن حصين عن سالم بن أبي الجعد قال حدثنا
بينما نحن نصلي مع النبي ﷺ إذ أقبلت عير تحمل طعاما فالتفتوا إليها حتى ما بقي مع النبي ﷺ إلا اثنا عشر رجلا فنزلت هذه الآية {وإذا رأوا تجارة أو لهوا انفضوا إليها وتركوك قائما}
