When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would raise his head, he would say, "Allah hears whoever praises Him. Our Lord, to You belongs all praise," then he would supplicate for some men, naming them by name. He would say, "O Allah, save Walid bin Walid, Salama bin Hisham, Ayyash bin Abu Rabia, and the oppressed believers. O Allah, tighten Your grip on Mudar and send upon them years of famine like the years of Yusuf."The people of the East at that time, from Mudar, were in opposition to him.

وكان رسول الله ﷺ حين يرفع رأسه يقول سمع الله لمن حمده ربنا ولك الحمد يدعو لرجال فيسميهم بأسمائهم فيقول اللهم أنج الوليد بن الوليد وسلمة بن هشام وعياش بن أبي ربيعة والمستضعفين من المؤمنين اللهم اشدد وطأتك على مضر واجعلها عليهم سنين كسني يوسف وأهل المشرق يومئذ من مضر مخالفون له
