Abu Musa Ashari reported,

The Prophet ﷺ said, "The example of the guidance and knowledge with which Allah has sent me is like abundant rain that fell upon a land. Some of it was fertile soil that absorbed the water and brought forth vegetation and grass in abundance. Another part of it was hard ground that retained the water, and Allah benefited people through it, so they drank, gave drink to their animals, and irrigated their crops. Yet another portion of the rain fell on barren ground that neither retained water nor produced vegetation. That is the example of the one who gains understanding of the religion of Allah and benefits from what Allah sent me with, so he learns and teaches others, and the example of the one who pays no attention to it and does not accept the guidance of Allah with which I was sent."Abu Abdullah said, Ishaq said, "And part of it was ground that absorbed the water." Qa is land covered by water, and safsaf is flat, level ground.
